St. Patrick’s Day

Theme Dressing

I have always loved theme days!  Getting all dressed up for the day doing makeup that I would not normally do is so much fun!  Oh the looks I have created with holidays and events as inspiration! This St. Patrick’s Day, I took the girls to Walmart to get shirts.  We have friends coming to visit us today and we did not want any pinching for not wearing green.

My Blessings!

Inspiration

When I woke up this morning, I had no idea what I was going to do for makeup.  Playing with my eyes is my favorite because there are just so many options for eye makeup.  Obviously, it had to have some shade of green but I did not know about the rest.  I found inspiration in a Splurge cream shadow in the color Tenacious.  That is what started my Pot O’Gold eyes!

**Update** Since I wrote this blog post, many of the Younique colors have been discontinued.  You can message me wit some suggestions or find some similar colors!

My wake up look

St. Patrick’s Day Pot O’Gold Eyes

The first thing I did was use the Tenacious Splurge Cream Shadow on my lid.  I did not go past my crease.  Next, I used Alive Pressed Shadow along my brow bone and blended it into the Tenacious.  I lined my eyes with the Cynical Pressed Shadow.  This is a dark blueish green that really gave my eyes some definition and pop.  For my crease, I added some Inconceivable Pressed Shadow only going about a 1/3 from the outer corner inward.  After a good blending, I added some Epic Mascara and some Splash Liquid lipstick in Stellar and called it a day!

Final look

I am so pleased with how this turned out!  This technique can be used with several other colors.  The Tenacious gave me the pot of gold I was looking for while the green added the most important color of the day.

What are you thoughts on this look?  Would you wear it?
