Game Day Makeup – March Madness

March Madness – What is that?
I went to Stephen F. Austin for my undergrad. I absolutely loved my time there. It is a smaller campus than so many of the Texas schools and it fit me perfectly. The only sporting events that I would go to were the home football games. One of my favorite things to do was to get there early and set up our sorority letters in the end zone and guard them until the game started. Little did I realize that I missed out on some excellent basketball!
When I was in my late 20s and early 30s I had a 6-year stint of being a true road warrior. I traveled pretty much every week all over the United States. I really enjoyed that time in my life! One particular trip I was heading to Kansas City. The flight I was on had a bunch of people all wearing college gear. One gentleman sat next to me and I asked what was going on in Kansas City. He looked at me like I had two heads and said something about the NCAA tournament. Ummm – no clue what you are talking about dude! I think it was the final four or something. Once again, how much had I missed out on in college basketball!!
The lightbulb goes on
My sister came to visit me when I was living in Chicago. She came in on a Thursday night and I took half a day off on Friday. We decided to go to a bar I had heard good things about, Joe’s on Weed Street. We figured we would get there early so we could get a table for when my friends came to join us. Imagine our surprise when the place was PACKED! You guessed it! It was the first round of March Madness! It was that day that I learned how much fun March Madness can be! Now I am hooked.
This brings us up to today. My beloved Stephen F. Austin (SFA) is once again going to the dance (2018). We would be a true Cinderella story if we make it past the first few rounds but I sure am hoping. To support my team, here is my makeup look using our school colors purple and white.

I used the Younique pressed eyeshadow powders in Crafty, Trusting (for the purples) and Optimistic (for the white). **Update** Since this blog was originally written, some of these colors have retired. However, you can always message me for alternatives.
I topped off my shadows with the purple eyeliner in Passionate and my favorite Epic Mascara. I am game day READY!!!
Come on SFA – AXE ‘EM Jacks!!
