Mom Life is the Best Life… Most of the time.

|

For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be a mom.  When I was little, friends of mine would talk about what they wanted to when they grew up.  Doctor, professional sports figure, teacher… nope.  Not for me!  I wanted to me a mother.  For me, mom life was going to be my best life! I got married right out of college and thought, this is it!  I was going to have all my kids by the time I was 30 so I could be a young mom with lots of energy.  9 months into my marriage, I left.  My perfect plan I made for myself was shattered.

During this stage of my life, people looked at me they saw a successful career woman.  I was very involved in community service, had several jobs where I was on the road every week, and was living a pretty good life.  However, that nagging feeling like something was missing was still there.

After I remarried, 15 years later, I struggled with infertility.  Now, my story has a happy ending.  I have twin girls that are the light of my life.  I know I am not the only woman who has struggled with fertility issues.  And more important, I know I am not the only one who is forever being shocked at the things people do not tell you after you have the thrill of the positive pregnancy test.

This was my inspiration

But is mom life the best life?

Ladies, I truly believe it is. However, we all know while motherhood is fantastic it is fantastically hard!  But if you don’t take a step back and laugh at the journey, then you are missing out.  I am starting this blog to share all the crazy stories I have had trying to get pregnant and trying to raise twins.

If there is a topic you would like to discuss, please comment below and oh I bet I can come up with something!

Let the journey begin.
